About this role
This award-winning, multi-disciplinary design studio is seeking a Part-Time Finance Manager to support the General Manager. The role is responsible for maintaining financial information on a regular basis, reporting on the financial position of the business in an accurate and concise way to the General Manager and Board of Directors as required. Working in collaboration with the consulting Accountant, you will be able to work autonomously and be proactive to anticipate needs.
Responsibilities will include but won’t be limited to
1. Financial Accounts & Reporting - manage Payables & Receivables processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
2. Responsible for managing the weekly and monthly cashflow position, including seeking authorisation for all payments by the General Manager.

4. Responsible for processing annual and sick leave in Xero, reconciliation of employee annual and sick leave records and for collecting doctor certificates from employees if absent for more than two days consecutively.
5. Responsible for fortnightly payroll – 20 staff plus consultants (electronic processing using Commbiz), preparing and issuing staff payslips, monthly superannuation payments, PAYG (Group Tax) reporting and payments.
6. Collaborate with the consulting Accountant to provide accurate financial management by maintaining cashflow, staff costs, asset registers etc.
Skills and Experience
7. Previous experience with Xero, MS Word, and Excel on Mac systems
8. Experience in the architecture and design industry is highly desirable
9. Commercially minded, with the ability to drive business
10. High level communication skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insightful comments and solutions
