About the Role
As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be working with defence personnel who have sustained injuries, illnesses or trauma. Your clinical reasoning skills and expertise will be used to support these individuals in their recovery journey.
This role involves assessing and developing rehabilitation plans for clients, working closely with medical professionals and other treatment providers to ensure a holistic approach to care. On-site access to medical facilities will enable direct support for clients, allowing them to receive comprehensive treatment and guidance throughout their recovery process.
The location of this role is on the RAAF base in Williamtown NSW, offering a unique opportunity to work in a defence environment. You will have the chance to conduct ADL's across two bases, gaining valuable experience in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans for defence personnel
* Collaborate with medical professionals and treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care
* Provide on-site support and guidance to clients
* Conduct ADL's across two bases, including Williamtown and Singleton
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
* Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
* Ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams
* Passion for helping people recover from injury or illness
