A large Government department is undertaking a major transformation of its finance systems, and is seeking a System Accountant to support the implementation of Oracle Fusion. This is a hands-on role blending finance and systems knowledge, with a clear focus on supporting the ERP rollout and ensuring efficient financial operations.
You will act as the finance lead within the project team, providing configuration input, conducting testing, and supporting the month-end/year-end processes. Your expertise will help develop meaningful reporting solutions and ensure finance teams are well-equipped to use the new system.
In this role, you will:
* Represent finance in ERP implementation and UAT activities
* Train staff on system use and maintain process documentation
* Manage GL, subledger reconciliations, and end-of-period rollovers
* Design and configure reports using Excel One
* Collaborate with finance and technology teams to support best practice
We're looking for:
* A qualified accountant with experience in GL, AP/AR and financial reporting
* Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion (or equivalent ERP) in a project environment
* Strong Excel skills and data accuracy
* Clear communication and the ability to document and explain processes
