Men's Behaviour Change Specialist
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of families and communities across the state. As a Men's Behaviour Change Facilitator, you will engage with men in a targeted behaviour change process to support immediate, short-term, and long-term behavioural and attitudinal change.
About the Role
You will provide culturally competent rehabilitation and reintegration services to male perpetrators of family and domestic violence through group education initiatives in community-based settings. Your expertise will be valuable in co-facilitating evening groupwork sessions with another facilitator, promoting respectful and appropriate ways of communicating and interacting to break the cycle of family and domestic violence.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for high-level case note and assessment/report writing to Department of Justice standards.
Key Responsibilities
* To facilitate and deliver community education and community development programs
* Provide culturally competent rehabilitation and reintegration services to male perpetrators of family and domestic violence
* Co-facilitate evening groupwork sessions with another facilitator
* Write high-level case notes and assessments/reports to Department of Justice standards
Requirements
To achieve success in this role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications and specifically a degree in a human services-related field
* Significant industry experience with specialist knowledge relevant to family and domestic violence
* Knowledge of intervention models appropriate to working with FDV perpetrators
* Excellent formal report and case note writing skills
* Experience working with mandated clients would be highly desirable
