Teaching Opportunity: Secondary Music Teacher
A skilled and passionate music educator is required to deliver inspiring music lessons to students in Years 7 and 8. This fixed-term position involves teaching across three days per week and six classes, providing an opportunity for meaningful engagement with students while maintaining flexibility.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys delivering engaging student-centred music education. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the College's co-curricular music program and special events where applicable.
About the Role
* Teach classroom music to students in Years 7 & 8, fostering creativity and musical development.
* Plan and implement effective learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Monitor, assess and report on student progress through written reports and parent communication.
Requirements
* A degree in Education and tertiary qualifications in Music.
* Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
* Experience teaching music in secondary settings, ideally with vocal education expertise.
* Familiarity with the Kodály method is highly regarded.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* A flexible, student-focused approach to teaching and learning.
