Summary of role
This is an Associate role sitting in the Sydney office that will provide exceptional service to its allocated Investment Manager or Asset Owner clients based in Australia. The role requires a technical understanding of custodial services, financial markets and investment instruments.
Role Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for top‐tier investment banks and institutional banking clients
* Be the face of State Street for all global custody‐related enquiries
* Become a subject‐matter expert in:
o All aspects of custodial services
o Corporate actions
o Full trade settlement cycle
o Income
o Derivatives
o Various financial markets globally
o IT infrastructure
* Actively establish and maintain strong relationships with allocated clients
* Drive customer experience (e.g., be involved in service meetings with client)
* Work well under pressure by prioritizing intra‐day enquiries based on market deadlines, risk and volume
* Be self‐driven
Position Requirements
This role will ideally suit a dynamic and experienced client‐service professional from a Custody or market operations background. Working with an allocated institutional client base, the role allows you to demonstrate outstanding customer service and relationship‐building experience by providing the highest level of service to a variety of clients, including on‐site visits, formal service reviews, daily operational communication and ad‐hoc check‐ins.

* Fundamental understanding of the trade lifecycle including sub‐custodians, cash correspondents and market depositories (DTC, Exigo)
* Basic SWIFT messaging knowledge regarding cash (MT202/103/210), trades (MT54x) and asset servicing
* Changes pertaining to ISO20022
* High attention to detail
