Senior Consultant – Business Consulting, Mining & Metals
The opportunity
As our Senior Consultant you'll be working with a talented group of professionals serving in key roles helping transform Mining & Metals organisations as they navigate these disruptive pressures. You will be involved in both new business development and project delivery with a focus on implementation and transformation in partnership with our Mining & Minerals clients.
This is a hybrid position based in Boorloo – Perth
Your key responsibilities
- Work with diverse teams across the business to win, design, plan, and deliver projects to help clients solve some of their most challenging problems
- Work with the team to achieve a high standard of client service
- Connect with our local and global networks to work with, share knowledge and draw on the skills of other EY subject matter specialists
- Develop relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across all levels
- You'll be part of a team that helps leading Australian companies to improve their operational performance, streamline their processes, manage change, and design the future of the business.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience of working in the mining & metals industry and or other asset intensive industries or consulting at professional services firms
- Demonstrated a strong understanding of mining operations and the mining value chain
- Experience in delivering transformational projects in the mining industry and or other asset intensive industries
- Ability to conduct root cause analyses leveraging both operational and financial data
- Demonstrated working knowledge and aptitude in some of our key capabilities (e.g., Program Management Office functions, project oversight and management, applicable industry platforms and technologies, digital transformation general and application controls, risk management, information security and information assurance)
- Contributions to business development and client pursuit activities by preparing proposals, marketing presentations for potential clients and thought leadership brochures
- Ability to communicate issues, status and thought leadership to partners and clients
