* The Midwifery and Nursing Director WBHHS is a leadership and management position, accountable for operational and professional leadership, management, and delivery of midwifery and nursing services within the Bundaberg Hospital and Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) specifically acute and community Maternity, Womens health, and Paediatric services.
* The Midwifery and Nursing Director WBHHS is also accountable at an expert professional and leadership level for the delivery of high quality, evidence-informed midwifery and nursing standards within the WBHHS.
* To lead the ongoing design, planning, development, implementation and management of maternity, women's, and paediatric service, providing high level advice on clinical Program strategy to other Nursing Directors and executive team in relation to broader hospital access agendas.
What we're looking for:
* Advanced and broad knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and standards across a range of nursing services, including including acute and community Maternity, Womens health, and Paediatric services.
* Demonstrated ongoing professional development of self and others, relevant post graduate leadership and management qualifications are highly desirable
* Demonstrated ability to provide effective advanced level leadership, management and organisational skills including comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and gain support from appropriate people to reach patient care focused solutions and organisational outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to manage change and support all team members through the implementation of change initiatives
* Expert and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary HR practices
* Demonstrated expertise in in human, financial and material resource management skills
* Demonstrated expert political astuteness, integrity and ability to write professional documents such as briefs, business cases, procedures and executive reports.
* Extensive knowledge in the application of relevant legislation, National and State standards and direction, in the provision of of midwifery and nursing services.
* Demonstrated ability to lead clinical units in the development, implementation and evaluation of systems and processes which ensure quality evidence-informed nursing care.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mandatory possession of a nursing and midwifery qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program as a Registered Nurse and Midwife, and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* Possession of context-specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $198,959 p.a., comprising salary of $174,378 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 11) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
