We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Hand and Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team If you're energetic, organized, and ready to dive into a fast-paced environment, this role is perfect for you.
Role Overview
This role is hands-on, assisting with both kitchen operations and event coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to ensure smooth, high-quality events and cooking classes that leave a lasting impact on our customers.
The Role: Kitchen Hand and Operations Assistant:
* Kitchen Support & Food Prep: Prepare and arrange cooking materials and food items, ensuring all ingredients and tools are ready for each class. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
* Customer Engagement: Be the friendly face at our events Engage with customers in a fun and welcoming manner to ensure a memorable experience.
* Event Set-up and Operations: Help set up and coordinate events from start to finish, supporting a seamless customer journey.
* Stock and Inventory Management: Track, order, and maintain stock levels for all classes and events, ensuring we're always prepared.
* Administrative Support: Assist with basic financial tasks like cash handling and POS operation.
* Social Media and Content Support: Capture event highlights and help with social media engagement, providing our audience with a glimpse of the BBQ School experience.
* Logistics & Deliveries: Occasionally pick up or deliver items needed for events or classes.
Key Requirements
* Experience: Some background in hospitality, event support, or kitchen work is preferred.
* Customer Service Skills: A friendly, outgoing personality to interact with customers and team members.
* Tech Savvy: Familiarity with software like Square, or a willingness to learn.
* Reliable: Ability to work weekends and have flexibility with shifts (Saturday and Sunday primarily).
* Driver's License: Know how to drive (not compulsory)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Centennial Park NSW 2021: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
