Job Summary
We are seeking a driven, multi-skilled journalist to join our Mackay newsroom. As a Journalist with 7News Regional, you will have the opportunity to improve your journalism skills and take another step in your career.
About the Role
* Generate original daily story ideas for on-air presentations.
* Interview, write, and voice news stories.
* Develop and maintain contacts in the community.
* Research and prepare news reports.
* Create effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
* You possess a creative mindset with energy, enthusiasm, and a strong knowledge base in journalism.
* You have a tertiary qualification in journalism or communications.
* You have exceptional communication and written skills.
* You can work to tight deadlines.
