About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Business Intelligence Analyst
to join our team in Australia. You will transform raw data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. Working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will help improve data-driven decisions across the organisation.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with data, visualising trends, and presenting insights that make a real business impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
* Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations using
Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
* Develop and optimise
SQL queries
and data models to support reporting needs.
* Provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance, strategy, and operations.
* Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across all reporting outputs.
* Support data governance, documentation, and best practice implementation.
* Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions or support project initiatives.
Requirements
Essential
* Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
* 2+ years' experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
* Strong
SQL
skills for data extraction and transformation.
* Hands-on experience with
Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools
.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Desirable
* Experience with
cloud data platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Familiarity with Python, R, or other data analysis programming languages.
* Experience with
data warehousing concepts
and ETL processes.
* Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
* Experience working with Australian market data or business environments.
