**How will I help?**
Reporting to the Head of Audit (Technology, Data & Projects), you will set the audit strategy for delivering project assurance. You will lead a team responsible for the planning and execution of reviews of portfolios, major programs and projects as well as the central project oversight functions and frameworks across the Westpac Group. You will work closely with Directors of other Group Audit portfolios to ensure adequate audit coverage of risk in change. You will also be a member of Group Audit Leadership team that determines and executes Group Audit's strategic priorities.
As an Audit Director, you are responsible for the following:
- Acting in accordance with the Westpac Group's Code of Conduct and Values.
- Developing and maintaining the periodic audit risk assessment for your domain and executing the audit plan.
- Developing strong stakeholder relationships whilst maintaining independence.
- Ensuring appropriate remediation testing is performed once Management address audit issues.
- Reporting on progress and findings to Management and for inclusion in Group Audit reporting to the Board and its Committees.
- Support or respond to enquiries from APRA and other key regulators and/or the Westpac Group's external auditor.
- Execute Group Audit's vision and priorities.
- As a People Leader, provide frequent feedback, coaching and professional guidance, delivering ongoing performance feedback within the Westpac Group Motivate framework, and providing individual career development advice and opportunities.
- Maintain a team operating in a high-performance culture that is well prepared for the future requirements of the roles.

**What do I need?**
- Undergraduate degree and relevant graduate degree or professional qualification (including information technology, business, accounting and finance) Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor preferred.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience including at least 10 years external and/or internal projects audit experience or other project risk management/assurance experience.
- Speciality project management assurance skills and extensive financial services experience including international assignments.
- Experience implementing or providing assurance over technology transformation programs.
- Experience as a Project Manager / Director on large / complex projects is also highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management and influencing skills suitable for dealing with senior executives and regulators.
- Proven people leadership capability obtained through broad experience leading teams in a professional environment and executing an audit plan for a large firm.
