About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced ecologist to join our team in field-based botanical survey work, including vegetation mapping, ecological monitoring, targeted threatened flora survey and Vegetation Quality Assessments using the Habitat Hectares method.
You will lead projects across a wide range of ecological disciplines and clients, with the opportunity to mentor junior team members. Your expertise in ecological impact assessment and offsetting will be essential in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.
You will work independently or collaboratively with other professionals in the planning, delivery and management of ecology surveys; analysis and evaluation of results, impact assessments, and the design and implementation of effective mitigation strategies.

What You Will Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field
* Working knowledge of Victorian and Commonwealth environmental legislation
* Proficiency in vegetation surveys, habitat assessments, and GIS tools
* Strong experience in habitat and protected species surveys
* Valid Victorian driver's license
You should have previous professional consultancy experience in ecology/botany and a willingness to undertake fieldwork across Victoria.
