Claims Support Technician (1 year FTC)
Job Description
The primary responsibility is to deliver high‐quality claims administration and support to the PLRA NEOS claims team. This role involves working with the NEOS claims team to provide customer service, ad‐hoc administration, long‐term claims handling and data support for this small, specialised team. The support technician assists PLRA in building and supporting a claims proposition for the market that meets client needs and aligns with PLRA's strategic focus.
Duties
* Administration of a variety of Life Insurance Claims across all products contained within retail insurance (40%).
* Delivery of high‐quality claims support service to the NEOS claims team (40%), including supporting SLAs and LICOP obligations, efficient and accurate processing of claims items and tasks, proficient writing and verbal communication skills, and building and maintaining relationships with NEOS NOL and advisers and other stakeholders.
* Develop a broad life insurance claims knowledge and assist in the development of processes and controls in this critical business area (10%).
* Assist the team to achieve company goals and performance standards (5%).
* Assist with the development of PLRA's profile and brand in Australia and internationally (5%).
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in claims administration and/or customer service working for a life insurer or superannuation fund for at least 2–5 years.
* Experience working in a claims department or claims handling within life insurance.
* Understanding of life cover, TPD, critical illness, income protection and relevant industry regulations.
