Excellent opportunities await an experienced and passionate Registered Midwife to join the Maternity Unit at a private hospital in Berwick. This is a part-time opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Midwife, your responsibilities will include:
* Assessing plans, delivering and evaluating patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required;
* Providing all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care in the antenatal clinics and services, on the maternity wards and in birth suites, in addition to care for babies in special care nurseries.
* Promoting and contributing to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital;
* Providing patient education and acting as a resource where appropriate;
* Supporting and supervising staff and students as required, including orienting and preceptoring staff;
* Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife;
* Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction;
* Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills and available for night shifts;
* An ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team;
* A commitment to ongoing education and professional development;
* Experience with the Birth Suite is highly desirable.

REMUNERATION
$42.94 - $60.65 per hour.

The consulting suites offer specialist sessional consulting in cardiology, orthopaedics, obstetrics, general surgery, plastic surgery, urology, gynaecology, paediatrics, thoracics, general medicine, and pain medicine.
