Business Leader Opportunity
Develop and deliver a comprehensive roadmap for Government Shared Services (GSS) to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems, and deliver a consistent experience to over 100 agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Director Business Transition in overseeing the development of funding and charging model options for GSS, ensuring key deliverables are met within agreed timeframes for cabinet submissions.
* Collaborate with client agencies and NSW Treasury to ascertain feedback and support the funding and charging model options, and ongoing consultation on shortlisted options for implementation feasibility, benefits, and challenges.
* Design, build, and/or evaluate financial modelling, including scenario analysis, to support funding requests in GSS business cases and Treasury submissions, ensuring financial objectives are met.
* Work alongside other relevant GSS stakeholders to identify costs and benefits for business cases, ensuring the provision of financial expertise throughout cost-benefit analysis and business case submissions.
* Develop and maintain relevant data insights and reporting to refine activity-based costing/ pricing to ensure financial and/or service delivery performance against organisational outcomes, objectives, and plans.
About You:
* Proven success in designing, building, and/or evaluating financial modelling, including scenario analysis, with a strong focus on delivering results.
* Skilled in research, analytics, and conceptual strategic thinking, with a proven track record of driving innovation.
* Proven success in engaging, influencing, and negotiating with key internal and external stakeholders, including responding appropriately to contentious and emerging issues to achieve outcomes.
* Experience in drafting and reviewing cabinet submissions, and experience in Government protocols and procedures.
* Previous experience managing contracts and performance with consultancies will be highly regarded.
* Excellent consultation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
* Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for reports, presentations, and business documentation.
* High-level organisational skills, with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks and follow through on goals.
