This is a key leadership position that requires expertise in tax advisory. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-level tax advice and compliance solutions to clients.
The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including ASX-listed companies, SMEs, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals. You will oversee the preparation and review of income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, and tax effect accounting.
Your responsibilities will also include delivering tailored tax planning and advisory strategies, providing strategic advice on tax risk management, compliance issues, and legislation changes. You will liaise with the ATO and regulatory bodies, managing audits, rulings, and queries.
You will lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering technical growth and career progression. You will also collaborate with Partners and Directors to strengthen tax service offerings and contribute to business development initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate or Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA)
* 7+ years' experience in taxation within a reputable firm, with proven leadership or mentoring experience
* Strong technical expertise across income tax, FBT, CGT, Division 7A, and tax effect accounting
* Experience managing complex tax issues for both corporate and private clients
* Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical tax matters into clear advice
