Electrical Maintenance Planner Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner to join a major mining operation in Western Australia. This is a long-term FIFO opportunity on a 4:3 roster, with the potential for extension.
This role offers a unique blend of planning and coordination responsibilities, allowing the successful candidate to make a tangible impact on plant reliability and productivity.
The ideal candidate will possess strong planning experience in mining or heavy industry, with proficiency in SAP or similar CMMS systems. A trade or engineering qualification, particularly in the electrical discipline, is highly desirable.
The selected individual will be responsible for planning and coordinating preventative and corrective electrical maintenance activities, prioritizing work based on safety, production requirements, and asset condition. They will also ensure compliance with safety systems, standards, and statutory obligations.
Additional responsibilities include utilising CMMS to raise work orders, manage backlog, and assist with shutdown planning. The candidate should also maintain clear communication with operations and maintenance stakeholders.
Key Requirements
* Trade or engineering qualification (electrical discipline preferred)
* Strong planning experience in mining or heavy industry (fixed plant highly regarded)
* Proficiency with SAP or similar CMMS
* Solid understanding of electrical systems and maintenance processes
* Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Skills
* WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
* Previous experience in iron ore operations
* Familiarity with processes used by major iron ore producers
