Join UGL’s Utilities team as we partner with Western Power to deliver essential services at the Three Springs Terminal, located just 300km (a 3-hour drive) from Perth. This project involves multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction services, including preparing the terminal for renewable energy connections and installing critical transmission and substation equipment. Construction starts in November, and we’re looking for a Quality Engineer who can start immediately. This role operates as Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) to Three Springs on a 14 days on, 7 days off roster, with an attractive 25% uplift on the base salary. This is a new role for an experienced Quality Engineer. Reporting to the Project Director, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing the quality assurance and control processes for this high-profile project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Administer and manage quality documentation, including ITPs, NCRs, QA reports, and handover records. Support the coordination and tracking of quality deliverables across the project lifecycle. Assist with the setup and maintenance of quality systems and processes. Liaise with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project standards. Provide input into continuous improvement initiatives and quality reporting. About you We’re seeking someone who can manage and complete the quality documentation required for this high-profile project. There is a significant volume of material to coordinate, and we need someone who can hit the ground running. Experience in construction QA/QC, ideally within substations or commissioning environments. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or an equivalent qualification. Demonstrated ability to manage Quality Management Systems, including audits and compliance in line with AS/NZS ISO standards. Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively, prioritise tasks, and solve problems in a dynamic project environment. Current Construction Industry White Card (or equivalent) and the ability to complete mandatory medical and police checks.
