Leading Hand Pump Technician

The Opportunity
Reporting to the NSW Pump Manager, this is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll take ownership of daily workshop operations, guiding a small team to deliver safe, high‐quality pump repairs and servicing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front and is ready to step up or further develop their leadership capability in a specialised, quick‐paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support workshop staff in the testing, repair and servicing of submersible pumps
* Coordinate daily workflow, prioritising jobs to meet deadlines
* Load and unload pumps, parts and materials from couriers
* Complete delivery dockets and relevant documentation
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop workplace
* Conduct deliveries and attend site work, including underground locations
* Promote and maintain a solid Zero Harm safety culture
About You
* Experience in a similar role or ready to step into a Leading Hand position
* Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools
* Hands‐on leader who leads by example
* Reliable, proactive and takes ownership of tasks
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
* Commitment to a safety‐first culture
Desirable (but not essential)
* MR or HR class driver's licence
* Mechanical trade or sound level of mechanical aptitude
* LVR/CPR certification
