Aurum Accounting Group is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our high-performing team in Geelong. What you'll be responsible for
* Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations
* Delivering high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
* Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and compliance obligations
* Providing proactive, strategic financial advice tailored to each client's business goals
* Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
* Collaborating with the broader team to ensure seamless service delivery
* Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and efficiencies
What we're looking for
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline
* CPA or CA qualified
* CPA or CA qualification in progress is acceptable for application
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within public practice or professional services
* Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation requirements
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
* A team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to a growing firm
* Australian citizenship is required for this position
