Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Laboratory Assistant.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers.
* Pre and post analytical specimen handling, identification, and prioritisation of urgent specimens.
* Filing and storage of specimens as well as data entry.
* Assisting scientists in the laboratory as required.
* Staying up to date with processing updates and continuously learning about the requirements for different types of samples.
* Responding to results, sample requirements, and general queries.
* Identifying and resolving problems at the pre-analytic stage.
