Job Title:
Workforce Development Specialist
As a Workforce Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to achieve their employment goals and aspirations.
This is a 6 months maternity leave contract, working 16 hours per fortnight, with flexible dates.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Developing and implementing capacity building, job readiness and work experience supports;
* Providing support and mentoring to participants to increase competence and independence in employment and training goals;
* Generating appropriate work experience opportunities for participants;
* Maintaining necessary records of service provision;
* Undertaking other responsibilities as required.
Requirements for the Role:
* Interest in educating participants to increase their capacity and employment readiness;
* Experience in supporting and encouraging youth with disability support needs to achieve employment readiness and training goals;
* Ability to build relationships with local businesses for work experiences;
* Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills;
* Solid problem solving skills;
* Current First Aid and CPR certification;
* Current C Class driving license and local travel;
* Ability to work autonomously and with initiative;
* Willingness to obtain Blue and NDIS clearance;
* Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate.
