Job Title
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing behaviours of concern and implementing tailored interventions to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
You will conduct comprehensive assessment activities, including functional behaviour analysis, to identify factors influencing behaviours of concern. You will design and implement person-centred behaviour support plans that incorporate evidence-based strategies to address identified behaviours.
Key responsibilities include working closely with individuals, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support and effective implementation of behaviour support plans. You will also ensure best practice and adherence to NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission and NSW Restrictive Practice Authorisation regulations.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation counselling, social sciences, or related health/disability studies.
* NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission BSP Accredited - Advanced (or above).
* Behaviour support experience with children/young people.
* Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead staff.
