About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking triaging and intake of new referrals to the service, providing high-standard mental health assessments, and developing recovery care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Triage and intake of new referrals, involving case formulations, risk assessments, and coordination of recovery care plans.
* Provision of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group programs.
* Collaborative consultation with consumers, their families/significant others, and relevant service systems to respond to assessed mental health needs at the individual and community level.
* Ongoing liaison and linkage with internal and external service systems regarding the mental health needs of consumers and the wider community.
Requirements:
* Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse with AHPRA, or tertiary-level education in Social Work with registration or eligibility with AASW.
* Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions.
* A positive solution-focused attitude with commitment to participating in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth.
* A sound understanding of public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs, as well as associated non-mental health programs in a community setting.
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness.
* A proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively as a member of a team.
