Recruitment & HR Officer – Greensborough Rate:$50 per hour + super | Hours: Full-time | Contract: Short term, to 1 May| Start: ASAP
We're partnering with a Local Council based in Greensborough to recruit an experienced Recruitment & HR Officer. This role is ideal for someone who's confident running end‐to‐end recruitment and advising hiring managers on best‐practice selection—while supporting broader HR processes.

What you'll do Recruitment & Talent
* Manage end-to-end recruitment (ads, shortlisting, interviews, offers, onboarding)
* Advise and coach hiring managers on recruitment and selection
* Maintain and optimise the ATS and candidate records
* Oversee agency staff processes, reference checks, onboarding/offboarding
Employee Lifecycle & HR Admin
* Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HRIS data
* Support onboarding/offboarding and exit processes, flag trends and improvements
* Prepare HR reports/metrics and support policy/HR communications
* Keep intranet content up to date and compliant
Benefits & Programs
* Act as first contact for employee benefits queries
* Coordinate benefits communications and the annual employee expo
* Administer student pathways/intern programs; onboard and support interns; track outcomes
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
* Ensure HR policy, legislative and OH&S compliance
* Contribute to audits, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
What you must have (essential)
* Proven experience in recruitment(end‐to‐end) and advising hiring managers on recruitment/selection
* Strong ATS/HRIS skills and meticulous record management
* Solid understanding of HR best practice and relevant legislation
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and customer service
* Ability to work independently, handle confidential info, and meet deadlines
Great to have (nice-to-haves)
* Experience with benefits administration and wellness initiatives
* Exposure to student/internship programs and reporting
* Qualifications in HR/Business (or equivalent experience)
