I am working with an excellent client based in Newcastle who are looking for a full time permanent Payroll Officer for their team. They are a well-known companies that spans all major states and territories in Australia. Their capabilities span urban and remote projects, servicing both public and private sectors with a reputation for managing highly complex and hazardous environments.
The Role:
* Oversee payroll and time management systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with legislative requirements and company policies
* Process end-to-end payroll, including all payments, deductions, and statutory obligations
* Maintain accurate employee records, including onboarding, terminations, salary adjustments, and leave management
* Respond to payroll-related enquiries and generate reports as required
* Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries to support management decision-making and compliance
* Contribute to payroll and finance projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
Key Requirements:
* 3+ years end to end Payroll processing experience
* Keypay software experience strongly regarded
* Exposure to Construction EBAs and Awards strongly regarded
* Permanent Residency or Citizenship
