Offer description

Are you a detail-oriented and self-motivated Quality Control professional keen to make a real difference? We're looking for someone meticulous in their daily checks and passionate about improving systems and processes for our client.

This is a unique chance to work onsite at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Parkes. Our client is pioneering high-quality kibble production in Australia, utilising advanced technology and fresh, local ingredients to ensure nutritional excellence and product safety.

You'll need to be ready for rotating shift work (day/afternoon/night shifts), providing essential coverage for the team. Your experience, at least one year in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment, will be key to hitting the ground running.

You'll be an integral part of their Quality Team, reporting to their Quality Control Supervisor. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining and improving their Quality Management System (QMS). This includes active involvement with documentation, SOPs, specifications, and managing non-conformances (NCRs), risk assessments, and internal audits. Your contributions will directly support adherence to their guidelines and preparations for their regulatory audits.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

* Sampling finished products, raw materials, and in-process materials for testing
* Collecting and submitting samples for laboratory analysis (microbiological, chemical, and nutritional) to both in-house and third-party labs
* Performing NIR analysis on samples and utilising other laboratory equipment, drawing on your working knowledge of lab techniques and terminology
* Conducting GMP inspections, line clearances, hourly QC checks, and environmental swabs to ensure processing area cleanliness, including recording and trending results
* Accurately documenting QC and supporting QA processes and test/sample results, maintaining thorough record-keeping
* Microbiological and hygiene monitoring, including collecting samples from the factory environment, water, and equipment surfaces; then analysing, trending, and reporting results
* Assessing quality check results and advising the QC Supervisor of any questionable findings or potential issues
* Preparing timely reports and summaries, communicating results to the appropriate team members or Supervisor
* Maintaining a clean and organised 5S standard of operation in the laboratory
* Assisting with the maintenance and calibration schedule for laboratory equipment
* Helping manage waste and pest control programs
* Supporting the Vendor Assurance program in collaboration with the QC Supervisor, Procurement, and R&D
* Participating in shift report writing to provide clear communication to the next shift's QC staff
* Contributing solutions and ideas to streamline processes and support continuous improvement

If this role interests you but you don't have an updated CV and you want some more information, please reach out. Otherwise apply directly and we will be in touch with an update on your application.
