Due to continuous growth within the business and MLG's high expectations on SAFETY, MLG seeks experienced WHS Advisors to join our highly valued Work Health and Safety on Haulage, Crushing, Mining and Civil projects in the Goldfields, WA. Focusing on actively promoting a positive safety culture and reporting to the Project Manager, this position is:
- FIFO from Perth – only candidates based in Australia will be considered
- Permanent – Full Time
- Roster: 2/2 or 8/6 or 2/1 – depending on the project
- Must have experience in Work Health and Safety for Haulage, Crushing, Mining or Civil industries
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Communicate (written/verbal) clearly and concisely at all levels
- Conduct risk assessment and hazard identification activities
- Having conversations that reiterate the required WHS behaviours
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships
- Maintain the Site Training Matrix, ensuring it is up to date and easily available to Site Management
- Ensure audits and inspections are undertaken in accordance with site and legislative requirements
- Ensure all incidents are reported, recorded, escalated, and then investigated as per MLG requirements
- Support the MLG Injury Management process
Desired Skills and Experience
- Australia based candidates
- Certificate IV or Diploma OHS/WHS
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical + DAS
- Use of Safety Management Software (MYOSH or similar)
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework for Work Health and Safety (state and national)
- Working knowledge of injury management and return to work requirements
- Acting as the first point of contact for WHS queries and advice
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Passion for safety management
