Urology Registrar Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Urology Registrar to join our team at Launceston General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Surgical Unit's patients and clinical activities within their clinical privileges.
* This is a fixed-term, full-time position with a 12-month duration, commencing from February 2026 until January 2027.
* The role involves daily management of the Surgical Unit's patients and clinical activities within your clinical privileges.
* You will be required to supervise Resident Medical Officers in clinical procedures and management.
The appointee will work up to 76 hours per fortnight as a day worker, including on-call duties. You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro-rata.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the Surgical Unit's patients and clinical activities within your clinical privileges.
* Supervise Resident Medical Officers in clinical procedures and management.
Requirements:
* A medical degree or equivalent qualification.
* Relevant experience in urology or a related field.
* Certification in advanced life support and resuscitation techniques.
