Structural Designer Role
You will be responsible for supporting the design and delivery of various structural projects. This includes managing project models, drawing sets, naming conventions, coordinates, and worksets.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Management: Set up and manage project models, drawing sets, naming conventions, coordinates, and worksets.
* Design Development: Develop and maintain Revit families/AutoCAD blocks and standard details for walls, slabs, tanks, and associated structural components.
* Reinforcement Detailing: Produce reinforcement detailing and schedules (bar bending lists) for walls, slabs, tanks, and associated structural components.
* Coordination and Interface: Coordinate interfaces with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, and architectural disciplines; participate in model reviews.
* Deliverables Preparation: Prepare concept, tender, and construction deliverables (GA plans, sections, details, notes) and manage revisions, transmittals, and document control in the common data environment.
* Quantity Take-offs and Buildability Reviews: Assist with quantity take-offs from models/drawings and support buildability reviews to ensure accurate cost estimation and efficient project execution.
* Design Verification and QA/QC: Support design verification and QA/QC: check prints, red-pen mark-ups, self-checks, peer reviews, and maintain drafting checklists to ensure quality and compliance.
* Construction-Phase Support: Provide construction-phase support: respond to RFIs, issue mark-ups/sketches, and produce as-built/record drawings to ensure seamless project handover.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement: maintain templates and standards, capture lessons learned, and mentor junior drafters to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
