Restaurant Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee all operations of our busy dine-in establishment.
* Job Responsibilities:
* Oversight of front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring high standards for service and quality in a full-service dining environment.
* Management of budgets, control of operational costs (including food, beverage, and labour), and handling of financial transactions and reporting.
* Planning and coordination of menus in collaboration with the Head Chef, analysing costs, sourcing produce, and setting prices.
* Implementation and management of comprehensive stock control, purchasing, and inventory systems.
* Selecting, training, supervising, and mentoring a diverse team of waiting and kitchen staff, including creating rosters and conducting performance reviews.
* A assessment and improvement of customer satisfaction, resolving complex guest complaints at a senior level.
* Maintenance of strict compliance with all liquor licensing (RSA), WHS, and HACCP food safety standards.
* Organisation and management of special functions, large group bookings, and restaurant promotions.
Requirements
* Proven Experience:
* A minimum of 1-3 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
* A Diploma of Hospitality Management. Extensive industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
* Demonstrated ability in financial management, menu planning, and staff supervision.
