About the Role

Join Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation as a Community Projects Supervisor, where you\'ll play a vital role in enhancing community engagement and skill development.

This is a hands-on role working alongside participants to create engaging activities that build confidence, develop practical skills, and open pathways to future employment. Activities may include cultural arts and crafts, small community projects, enterprise ideas, and practical tasks that encourage people to explore new skills and discover their strengths.

The role focuses on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where participants feel comfortable learning, sharing knowledge, and building everyday work skills through meaningful activities. Through structured routines, practical projects, and supportive guidance, participants are encouraged to build confidence and take positive steps toward employment.

Responsibilities

What you will do

As the Community Projects Supervisor at Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation, you will play a key role in empowering community members and driving engagement. You'll design and implement skill-building activities that cater to participants' needs, ensuring they have the resources to succeed. By leading daily toolbox meetings, you will keep everyone informed and motivated, promoting a supportive environment.

Your strong organisational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate attendance records and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You will also document community engagement efforts and collaborate with local stakeholders to identify job opportunities, helping participants connect with pathways to employment.

With a focus on cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, you'll support participants in developing essential skills in areas such as digital literacy, hospitality, and general labouring. Qualifications
* Experience in community development programs or other employment service provision and training programs
* Enjoys working creatively with people and encouraging participation
* Leadership experience and can self manage
* Ability to engage with community stakeholders and employers
* Strong administrative and communication skills
* Is reliable, practical, and community-focused
* Ability to travel within the Ironbark Group's service region
