About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of ghd's ANZ business, where you'll act as the strategic and commercial custodian of one of the world's most iconic beauty brands. As Marketing Director ANZ, you will define and lead a multi‐year growth strategy across all categories and channels, seamlessly integrating brand, consumer, and commercial priorities to drive both immediate performance and long‐term brand equity. Sitting on the Leadership Team, you'll play a key role in shaping corporate strategy, elevating organisational capability, and transforming marketing into a true engine of category‐led growth. You'll own the end‐to‐end marketing ecosystem, from category strategy and go‐to‐market execution through to brand partnerships, digital acceleration, and performance optimisation. With a sharp eye on market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive dynamics, you'll identify new growth opportunities while ensuring ghd shows up powerfully and consistently across every touchpoint. From leading high‐impact product launches to building meaningful brand collaborations and driving a digital‐first, omni‐channel approach, this role blends strategic thinking with hands‐on execution.
About the Person
We're looking for a commercially astute, strategically minded marketing leader with a proven track record in high‐growth consumer brands - ideally within beauty, hair or fashion. With at least five years' experience operating at a senior level, you bring a deep understanding of brand building in dynamic, fast‐paced environments, coupled with strong digital and social marketing capability. You're as comfortable shaping long‐term strategy as you are driving execution, with a sharp focus on delivering measurable results. A natural leader, you've built and led high‐performing teams, creating clarity, momentum and accountability while fostering a positive, engaged culture. You're an exceptional communicator, confident influencing at all levels, both internally and externally, and bring strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build trusted relationships across the business. Highly organised and adaptable, you thrive in environments where priorities shift, pace is high, and no two days look the same. Ideally, you bring a genuine passion for the beauty and hair industry, with a strong understanding of multi‐channel marketing across both online and offline environments. Exposure to complex distribution ecosystems will set you apart, along with a natural affinity for the ghd brand. Backed by relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related field, you combine commercial thinking with creativity, curiosity, and a drive to continuously raise the bar.
