Our client is a rapidly growing business specialising in the wholesale of steel furniture to an ever-expanding re-seller network, they specialise in a wide range of storage products.
The Business Development Manager role is heavily focused on new business and developing relationships with potential key accounts in the warehouse environment. This means working closely with customers to provide innovative solutions.
What you'll be doing:
1. Develop sales plans for new and existing clients
2. Identify and qualify new business leads
3. Build and maintain industry relationships
4. Research potential income streams
5. Monitor competitor activities
6. Generate leads and schedule appointments
7. Visit customer sites, coordinate with sales teams
8. Understand product value proposition
9. Create detailed proposals and tenders
10. Identify business strengths and customer needs
11. Follow sales process and address concerns
12. Participate in industry events
13. Promote company integrity
14. Contribute to team and comply with requests
What you'll need:
15. A high level of people interaction and negotiating skills
16. Professional, positive, and diligent attitude
17. 1-2 years’ relevant experience in similar role or industry
18. High School Certificate
19. Certificate IV in Sales and marketing (advantageous)
20. Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree (advantageous)
21. Proficiency in MS Office Suite
22. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
