Overview
Montague Farms operates across NSW and Tasmania with 1,000 hectares of productive orchards and significant packing operations. We produce apples, pears, cherries, plums, peaches, apricots, grapes and citrus. We are offering a Maintenance Planner role at our Narre Warren North Production Facility, reporting to the Facility & Maintenance Manager. This role focuses on transitioning from reactive maintenance to proactive, planned, and cost-effective strategies to support a fast-paced site.
Working with maintenance and production teams, you will help reduce downtime, optimise preventative schedules, and support long-term site performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise work orders, ensuring clear job plans and timely execution.
- Develop weekly and long-term maintenance schedules aligned with operational needs.
- Plan and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance using a CMMS.
- Ensure parts, tools, and resources are available through proactive coordination.
- Liaise with external contractors to schedule and manage service work.
- Track maintenance KPIs and ensure compliance with maintenance plans.
- Engage with key stakeholders to align schedules, reduce downtime, and improve performance.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and reliability-focused initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, ideally within FMCG or food production.
- Experience using CMMS and managing maintenance planning and spare parts inventory.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and commitment to safety compliance.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and lead across teams.
