This is a thrilling time to become part of the BOTON Global Technical Support Team in Australia. In light of our steady expansion, we are presenting a unique opening for an experienced Engineer with a background in Application Engineering. This position is located at our Global Technical Service Center Hub in Perth. Candidates familiar and experienced with conveyor belts will be considered ideal for this role. 
About The Role: 
The Application Engineer Conveyor Belting will be developing and executing the Application Engineering activities within the Global Technical Service Team to support the sales team in achieving short- and long-term business objectives, increased profit, and market growth. Regular travel is a requirement as part of this role. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Provide technical support, technical training and technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders across BOTON’s global network 
Conduct regular field inspections of belts, conveyor systems and other products to troubleshoot perceived problems for clients 
Plan and oversee complex belt installations and ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality and engineering standards 
Apply product engineering tools, specify belt selection and requirements 
Provide comprehensive market and technological analysis which will contribute to business strategies 
Introduce next generation conveyor health and belt performance devices (BOTON IoT) to enable BIG DATA analysis for our clients 
Conducts internal root cause analysis in house or on site 
Create site visit reports and observes internal or external testing 
Coordinate and conducts field trials and follow-up for product performance evaluation 
Support the Director 'Global Technical Service Centre’ to build a global technical support network and participate in projects worldwide 
Perform onsite inspections to review product performance and initiates product optimization or development projects 
Develop and maintain technical documents in line with market / client specific requirements 
Provide mentoring to team members from other departments on products & systems 
Participate in conveyor belting and bulk material handling related R&D; projects 
About You: 
You will have comprehensive product knowledge relating to conveyor belts and systems including conveyor health system, ideally with a mechanical engineering background. Additionally, you will have the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with external clients. 
We Also Focus on the Following: 
University degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical Engineering preferred) 
2-3 years professional experience in project management, technical sales, application engineering, technical consulting or R&D;
Project management experience specifically within an international business environment is highly desirable 
Experience working with intercultural and interdisciplinary teams 
Exceptional written and oral communication skills 
Advanced computer literacy skills, in particular Microsoft Office 365, Belt Analyst and RC PRO 
Professional working proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin are a plus
