About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant/Dispensary Technician to join our team on a part-time basis, starting as a casual. This role suits someone who enjoys helping others, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced and diverse retail healthcare setting. You will play a vital role in daily pharmacy operations, supporting dispensary workflow, and helping to ensure that every customer receives friendly and professional care.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting customers with enquiries, product recommendations, and purchases
Providing friendly, confident, and professional customer service
Processing transactions accurately and efficiently
Restocking and rotating stock, maintaining clean and organised shelves
Supporting stock control and inventory management
Assisting in dispensary operations under pharmacist supervision
Helping with the packing, preparation, and dispensing of medications (as authorised)
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Assisting with general administrative and clerical tasks
Performing local customer deliveries when required
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is preferred, but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
Valid Queensland driver's licence
First Aid certification is advantageous
Willingness to learn, take direction, and participate in ongoing training
Must be an Australian permanent resident to be eligible for this position
