Business Development Manager
The role of a Business Development Manager is crucial in acquiring new customers by collaborating with channel partners. This individual plays a vital part in identifying and engaging high-potential prospects using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and insights from the lead generation team.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify and engage high-potential prospects
* Guide and support Partners to showcase value effectively, develop strategic account plans, and compete consistently
* Translate technical solutions and capabilities into business value, helping Mid-Market customers make confident investment decisions
* Ensure a smooth handover to Account Managers and other internal collaborators, aiding in building trust and continuity from initial interaction to sustained commitment
* Harness Optus' hospitality experiences, executive sponsors, and technical experts to compose compelling sales motions
Required Skills and Qualifications
10 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, with a proven track record in complex solution selling and partner co-selling
Demonstrable industry experience is essential
Proficient knowledge of ICT solutions (mobile, fixed, cloud, data) and mid-market customer requirements
Skilled in identifying customer needs and positioning complex ICT and whole-of-business solutions
Confident in engaging C-level executives and building trusted relationships
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, ICT, or a related field; MBA or sales/tech certifications preferred
