We are currently seeking a receptionist to join our team on a fixed-term, three-month, part-time basis working approximately 60 hours per fortnight.

About the role:
As the first friendly face (or voice) our clients encounter, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and professional experience. You will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet patients with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel welcome and valued from the moment they enter the clinic.
* Answer incoming calls and inquiries, providing accurate information and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
* Manage appointment scheduling, including booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments both in-person and over the phone.
* Selling 'behind-the-counter' animal care products with good product knowledge (training provided).
* Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
* Process payments for services rendered, handle cash transactions, and reconcile daily financial transactions.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area, waiting room, front desk area and consult rooms.
* Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and address any patient concerns or issues promptly.
* Experience in dealing with emotional & sometimes highly stressful situations ensuring the best outcome for clients and the clinic.
* Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry as needed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role (essential), preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting (not essential).
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A positive attitude, team player mentality, and a genuine desire to help others.
Availability
5-8 hour shifts between 8:30am and 7:00pm on weekdays; and between 8:30am and 2pm on Saturdays (working one Saturday every 5 or 6 weeks approx.).
