About the role
Join Kerrect Roofing as an Apprentice Roof Plumber / Metal Roofing Apprentice working across the Illawarra and surrounding areas. This full-time chance will provide hands‐on training and the chance to build a rewarding career in the roofing and construction industry.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age to be considered for this apprenticeship position.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting with the installation, repair and maintenance of metal roofing and related building components
* Learning how to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Operating a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently
* Gaining experience in roof plumbing and metal fabrication techniques
* Adhering to all relevant safety standards and regulations
* Participating in on‐the‐job training and attending TAFE/trade classes to develop your skills
What we're looking for
* A strong interest and willingness to learn the roofing trade
* Good hand‐eye coordination and physical fitness
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Good communication and problem‐solving skills
* Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Driver licence and access to a vehicle preferred
* White Card preferred
