Remuneration
Package valued up to $182,461 + incentives (where applicable). Base salary ranges from $101,122 – $160,983* plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available dependent on professional experience.

Job Overview
School psychologists are a vital part of the Department's school counselling service, working in primary and high schools to provide counselling, psychological assessment, and support to enhance learning and wellbeing outcomes. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, collaboration across multi‐disciplinary teams, and the chance to make a real impact on students' lives.
Key Accountabilities
* Provide individual and group counselling and short‐term therapeutic interventions within the scope of training, experience, and supervision.
* Apply the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
* Collaborate with principals, staff, and student support services to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes, implementing departmental priorities.
* Support students with complex behavioural needs and contribute to social, emotional, and academic development.
* Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments, report results, and collaborate to improve outcomes.
* Work with learning and support teams, parents, carers, and agencies to develop appropriate school‐based support.
* Respond as part of a team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.
* Refer students or families to external agencies to support student health and wellbeing.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy, Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG Inc. and the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
* General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance – NSW.
* Current and valid driver's licence with the ability to travel between work sites.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
