The Opportunity

As Engineering Manager, you'll provide technical leadership across ARRC's large‐scale infrastructure and capital works program. This includes managing engineering standards, ensuring design quality and providing technical assurance across all ARRC assets.

You'll partner closely with project delivery leaders to ensure solutions are safe, compliant, and technically robust across feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational handover. The Capital Delivery Manager leads project execution and procurement, while this role ensures engineering governance and technical integrity.

Your Key Responsibilities – Make Your Mark

* Own ARRC's engineering standards, specifications and technical approvals, ensuring designs are fit for purpose and support innovation where appropriate.
* Lead engineering governance and technical assurance across the full project lifecycle (studies, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover), ensuring safe, compliant, and high‐quality outcomes.
* Review and challenge engineering designs, methodologies, and assumptions to drive robust, fit‐for‐purpose solutions aligned with ARRC's Asset Strategy, lifecycle planning and future investment priorities.
* Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including facilitating HAZOP, value‐for‐money, and risk workshops to optimise safety, risk, and commercial performance.
* Mentor and develop the engineering team and support delivery partners to uphold consistent technical standards.
* Prepare briefings and present technical recommendations to ARRC leadership and partners.

What We're Looking For

* Strong engineering leadership experience across waste, resource recovery, recycling, utilities, or industrial infrastructure.
* Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholders on capital projects valued over $30 million.
* Knowledge of contract administration, procurement framework and risk management.
* Strong analytical skills and excellent communication capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

Minimum 15 years' experience in engineering, with substantial experience in major infrastructure capital works programmes.

Proven leadership, governance, and commercial capability.

RPEQ registration or eligibility.

Chartered (CPEng) highly regarded.

Key Strengths & Attributes

* Integrity, professionalism and sound judgement.
* Collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
* Resilience in dynamic environments with strong results focus.
* Commitment to sustainability and circular economy outcomes.

Why Join ARRC Gold Coast?

At ARRC Gold Coast, you will be part of a dynamic team that is transforming waste management and resource recovery for the future. You'll work on projects that have a positive environmental impact and contribute to the long‐term sustainability of the Gold Coast.
