Who are we?
The Westin Perth is a rejuvenating haven with luxury accommodation, 5-star amenities and beautiful conference spaces located in Perth's City Centre. The Westin Perth provides a refreshing location for mindful meetings and inspiring events. Our spaces include 368 guest rooms (including ten club suites, eight Westin suites, five executive suits and one presidential suite) with more than 2,300 square meters of versatile event space, including a Grand Ballroom.
What we're looking for?
The Westin Perth is looking to support a current university/college student grow their passion and experience within Human Resources. If you are a current university/college student needing to undergo a placement/internship in Human Resources, we want to support you!
Your roles will include:
* Supporting the HR Coordinator and Assistant HR Manager with daily tasks (such as recruiting, admin, compliance, onboarding & associate relations)
* Develop an understanding of HR Systems, including Talent Management and Internal Talent Databases
* Assist in developing hotel culture through recognition programs and internal events
* Develop an understanding of Human Resource functions in a hospitality industry
* Building on your current knowledge of Human Resources and putting this into action
* Assist in end-to-end recruiting (including Phone screen and reference checks, conducting pre-hire checks and providing feedback to candidates)
* Assist in administration work (including setting up meetings and interviews, data entry, notice board updating, scanning and laminating).
* Preparation of induction packs and assist in new associate onboarding
* Contributing to Take Care initiatives (including email newsletters, preparing events, contacting associates)
