Are you an experienced trainer ready to inspire the next generation? We're looking for passionate educators to deliver the 22614VIC - Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pre-apprenticeship – Carpentry) to senior secondary students (Years 10–12) across a network of partner schools in Melbourne's south-east and beyond.
This is more than just teaching, it's about building confidence, trade skills and life-readiness in young people at a pivotal time in their lives.
What you'll do
* Deliver practical, hands-on carpentry training aligned to the 22614VIC Certificate II program
* Work with students in Years 10–12 enrolled in VETDSS, VCE Vocational Major, or VPC programs
* Foster safe, engaging, real-world learning environments — in classrooms and workshops
* Travel between a small group of schools
* Collaborate with a supportive, passionate training team
What you'll bring
* Trade qualification in Carpentry or Building & Construction
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or nearing completion
* Experience teaching in VET, TAFE, or senior secondary settings (preferred)
* Strong communication, engagement and behaviour management skills
* A genuine passion for helping young people succeed in life and work
* Working with Children Check
* Deliver meaningful, job-ready skills to students preparing for the workforce
* Work across respected partner schools with full administrative support
* Be part of a purpose-driven team who care about youth, safety, and practical training
* Ongoing support and development for trainers of all experience levels
