I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency recruit for an APS5 Operations Officer for a full-time temporary assignment for a 12-month contract, with a high likelihood of an extension.
Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled APS5 Operations Officer. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing moderately complex to complex work under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide secretariat support for all Home and Living decisions.
* Assist Agency teams with Home and Living enquiries.
* Address and resolve issues and complaints related to participant Home and Living applications.
* Lead and contribute to the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
* Manage, collate, interpret, and analyse data to produce reports and dashboards that inform strategic and operational planning.
* Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets.
* Monitor and manage correspondence, assigning and actioning internal work items.
* Coach and mentor staff, providing support on established technical, operational, and administrative activities, procedures, practices, and program/project objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to communicate effectively and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage workflow.
* Experience in data management and analysis.
* Proven ability to lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
* Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
* Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents.
* This role requires candidates to be an Australian Citizen.
* Successful candidates will need to complete 2x reference checks and be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check
