Position Information
Cammeraygal High School is a dynamic 7–12 comprehensive, coeducational, multi–campus high school with the two campuses being located at Pacific Highway and West Street Crows Nest. The school commenced with an initial enrolment of up to 120 Year 7 students in 2015 and has continued to enrol other cohorts with each ensuing year with a total enrolment of 920 students in 2025. The school operates as a multi-campus school with years 7-9 on the Pacific Highway campus and Years 10-12 on the West Street campus.
The school will be maintained as a coherent multi campus school catering to all students from Years 7-12. Cammeraygal High School has a highly engaged parent community that has continued to support the school's initiatives, priorities and innovative programs which includes personalised education practices, creative and performing arts, and student leadership programs. The school continues to develop a collaboratively built school culture that provides learning opportunities for all students. Cammeraygal has an emphasis on academic excellence and differentiation with a strong reputation for delivering quality teaching and learning in an inclusive learning environment. The school develops the whole student by offering a range of experiences to extend their skills, confidence and overall wellbeing.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
Demonstrated capacity to develop and deliver differentiated learning programs to meet the learning needs of a diverse range of students.
Capacity to lead and manage whole school administrative operations in a multi campus comprehensive coeducational educational setting.
Capacity to build unified and collegial administrative systems with the purpose of managing ongoing administrative challenges in a multi campus school.
Capacity to supervise additional faculty areas, leading staff with diverse teaching experience and working as an integral member of a multi campus school executive.
General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
