About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer - Infrastructure Delivery to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

Our National Parks and Wildlife Service's South Coast Major Infrastructure Delivery unit are seeking a Project Officer - Infrastructure Delivery to support the end-to-end delivery of visitor and operational infrastructure capital works across the South Coast of NSW, covering locations from Stanwell Park to Eden. In this role, you will provide high-level administrative and project support across multiple infrastructure projects, including new builds, renewals and upgrades.

You will develop detailed project plans, manage budgets, coordinate stakeholder consultation and monitor project progress to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards. Your work will include contract administration, procurement compliance, environmental and cultural heritage assessments and close collaboration with consultants, engineers and contractors.

This role involves working across geographically dispersed sites, requiring regular travel and field visits throughout the South Coast region. You will be part of a small, dynamic team of four to six people focused on delivering critical infrastructure that supports the region's natural and cultural values.

About You

You are an experienced infrastructure project professional based on the South Coast of NSW with a strong background in building, construction and project delivery. You have proven skills in project management, contract administration, procurement and project design, working closely with consultants, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders.

You are comfortable managing multiple projects across geographically dispersed locations and understand the importance of environmental planning and cultural heritage compliance within infrastructure projects. You work well within small teams and thrive in busy environments that require strong organisational skills and clear communication.

Knowledge and experience

* Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.

Essential requirements

* Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
