Student Recruitment and Partnership Advisor

Lead the way in North Queensland – opportunity for growth and future leadership

Aurora is seeking a Student Recruitment and Partnership Advisor based at the Townsville campus, servicing Townsville and the North Queensland region.

Aurora is open to appointing:

* An Advisor with strong experience in student recruitment, sales or stakeholder engagement who is ready to step up, take the lead locally and grow into a future leadership/manager opportunity, and/or
* An Advisor who is newer to the industry, with a solid foundation of relevant experience and a strong desire to learn, grow and succeed alongside experienced colleagues.

The opportunity

As part of the Student Recruitment team, you will work closely with and report to the Student Recruitment and Partnership Manager based in Toowoomba .

This position is well-suited to:

* Individuals with sales or engagement experience in the education sector, or
* Those currently working in the RTO or VET sector who are seeking a change or the next step in their careers .

For experienced candidates, there is clear scope to:

* Take a lead role for student recruitment in Townsville and North Queensland ,
* Drive local strategy and initiatives in conjunction with the Student Recruitment and Partnership Manager, and
* Gradually develop towards a future leadership/manager position as the region continues to grow.


Key responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Establishing and nurturing relationships with local schools, employers and the Apprentice Connect Australia Provider (ACAP) in Townsville and the broader region.
* Facilitating school-based traineeships .
* Proactively following up on sales leads and student enquiries.
* Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities .
* Participating in trade shows, exhibitions, careers events and promotional activities as required.

For more experienced applicants, responsibilities may also include:

* Taking ownership of local recruitment activity and acting as a key point of contact in the region.
* Providing guidance and informal mentoring to colleagues.
* Leading or championing projects, campaigns or partnerships across North Queensland.


About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills .
* A high level of personal presentation .
* Strong customer service and relationship-building skills .
* Self-motivation and a strong drive to succeed.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
* A positive "can-do" attitude and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and time management skills .
* A current driver's license and reliable vehicle .
* A current QLD Blue Card, or the ability to promptly obtain one upon successful appointment.

You may also bring:

* Experience in student recruitment, sales, business development or stakeholder engagement, ideally within education, VET or a similar client-focused environment.
* For more experienced candidates: a track record of working autonomously, leading initiatives, or supporting and influencing others, and a genuine interest in stepping into a leadership/manager-style role as opportunities arise.
