Valentis are seeking a motivated Junior Project Engineer / Graduate Project Engineer to join our clients growing project delivery team in Perth. Working across a range of non-process infrastructure projects, you will support project managers and senior engineers in the planning, coordination, and delivery of works both in the office and on site.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to build hands-on experience across project delivery, site operations, and contractor management within the civil/infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of infrastructure projects
* Support site teams with daily engineering and construction activities
* Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
* Assist with procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors
* Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, ITPs, progress reports, and registers
* Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance
* Assist with cost tracking, variations, and schedule updates
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
* Attend site meetings and inspections as required
* Support the implementation of company safety, quality, and environmental systems
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
* 0–3 years' experience in civil or infrastructure projects (graduates encouraged to apply)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Willingness to work both in the Perth office and on site when required
* A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Current WA driver's licence (or ability to obtain)
Desirable (but not essential)
* Site experience on civil or infrastructure projects
* Familiarity with Australian Standards and construction practices
* Experience with project management or construction software
* Understanding of contractor delivery environments
